Evidence (part 2)

We then asssigned characters.

Meeka Playing the basketcase. Meeka was dressed in all black to give off the impression she was lonely and depressed. her face was often straight not commuicating any expressions.

Zaki was dressed in a long black puffy coat, a scarf and sunglasses. The fact he was wearing sunglasses within the school building shows delinquent behaviour, as that is out of the ordinary and against the rules.

Taisha was dressed in Pink Boots, a hat, jeans and jewellery. This could represent she was from a wealthier background.

William was dressed in a red jacket and was wearing reading glasses. this was to commuicate he was the brainest out of the bunch.

Each individual wore something different to show something specific to the character they were playing.

Evidence (part 1)

We wasnt sure how to re-create the beginning secen of ' the breakfast club ' where the different cars pull up individully outside the school.

We went through a variety of ideas such as, filming real cars outside from an high angle view, to using Zaki's real car pulling up outside of college. We then came to the decision, that trying to film these events would consume to much time.

we decided to use the idea of drawing the road on top two sheets of paper. Although it doesnt look realistic, the idea and concept worked.

We then used the toy cars Mary gave us to re-create the cars in the breakfast club pulling up to the school gates. we did this by position the paper at an angle and letting the cars roll along the side while the camers was zoomed and focused on the car. this created the effect as if the car was moving on its own.

Reflective Progress Vlog

Reflective post

Media Reflective Post
In AS Media I think I have personally made huge progress on my knowledge about media. I have understood the topics that we have covered so far and the terminology that has been covered in our lessons . Since the starting of this course I have gained useful skills such as how to use a video camera in conjunction with other tools such as the tripod etc. I've also learnt how to edit footage to create a video for a set task. To improve my predicted grade, I need to use more terminology in my analysis of TV and film. I also need to use more technology in my blog posts such as gifs, prezzis, videos etc  and blog more about teen films. Overall, I believe I am doing alright in AS Media but the is still room to improve.

Reflective post

Whilst doing AS Media I personally feel I have made quite a lot of progress as time has gone on. I have been able to gain some insightful knowledge about the subject. I have been able to understand the topics that we have so far covered in class time. I have also gained some useful skills such as learning how to use and setup tools used for filming such a video camera along with other tools such as a fig-rig and a tripod etc… I have also learnt how to use blogger.com - Online blogging platform. I have also learnt how to use final cut pro to edit video footage.

In order to improve my predicted grade I will need to improve on a number of things. I will need to blog more off of my own accord rather than only doing posts off of the blogging checklist. I also need to revise the notes we've been over in class as well as use more of the terminologies in my analysing of TV and film. Overall, I believe I am doing okay in AS Media however I still feel there is room for improvement.
